6 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Dellin Betances said his agent, Jim Murray, and general manager Brian Cashman have had contract-extension talks this offseason. Betances really struggled with his control in 2017 with a career-high 6.6 walks per nine innings, but he bounced back last season with a 3.5 BB/9 and lowered his ERA to 2.70 with four saves in 66 outings. He also posted an elite 15.5 K/9 and is one of the best strikeout artists in the game out of the bullpen. While Betances won't see many save chances, his peripherals make him a late-round target in mixed leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
