Delino DeShields Starting In Center Field Monday
6 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields (finger) will get his first start in center field since returning from the disabled list Saturday. DeShields has had to wait two days to get this start, but interestingly he sees a start in center field before Carlos Tocci does. It will be interesting to see how the Rangers handle center field for the remainder of the year. The next month is likely an audition for 2019 between Tocci and DeShields. Therefore, expect to see both getting time which will harm both of their values in weekly leagues. However, in daily leagues DeShields remains a useful bench option due to his speed on the base paths, with 18 steals already.
