Delino DeShields Starting Again Thursday
7 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields will get his fourth start in a row in center field on Thursday. DeShields has not exactly done much to shout about since returning from the disabled list, going 1-for-10 with one RBI. However, Carlos Tocci has struggled this season, with a .174 batting average in 96 plate appearances. DeShields needs to hit consistently if he is to keep the starting job he seems to have right now. DeShields is worth a speculative add in deeper leagues, especially if you need steals. If DeShields can get on base consistently he could still reach 40 stolen bases this season.

Delino DeShields To Become A Free Agent
3 years agoOutfielder Delino DeShields was sent on a minor league assignment by the Cincinnati Reds. However, he refused the assignment and elected to become a free agent instead. The 29-year-old split the 2021 season between three organizations. He began the year with the Texas Rangers, then spent time with the Boston Red Sox before joining the Reds. He appeared in 25 games for the Reds and slashed .255/.375/.426 with one home run, two stolen bases, six RBI and four runs.
