Delanie Walker Not Expected Back This Year
6 years agoTennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker (ankle) suffered a broken ankle and ligament damage in Week 1 against the Dolphins, according to a source. As a result, he's not expected to play again this year. Walker was drafted as a TE1 by most fantasy owners once the elite names at the position came off the board, so this is a huge blow early in the year. Jonnu Smith is expected to take over the main pass-catching duties, but he's merely a backup fantasy TE. Tennessee's offensive line is also beat up with Jack Conklin and Taylor Lewan both injured, too, so the Titans are in dire straights early in the season. Corey Davis should be heavily targeted moving forward, and Tajae Sharpe, Taywan Taylor and Rishard Matthews should see increased looks as well. Only Davis is a stable fantasy weapon, however. Running back Dion Lewis should be used more out of the backfield as a pass catcher, too.
