Deebo Samuel Starting To Separate Himself
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Deebo Samuel continues emerging as the clear No. 2 wideout in the passing attack. Since the arrival of veteran receiver Emmanuel Sanders, Samuel’s snap share has remained stable, with the biggest loser being Dante Pettis. Samuel saw seven looks in Week 9, missing out on a big day by allowing a wide-open touchdown pass clank off his hands. Despite the Niners low-volume aerial game, Samuel is an upside WR5 in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks. With Sanders and tight end George Kittle occupying Seattle’s primary attention, Samuel should continue drawing favorable matchups against a poor pass defense. In a crowded bye week, Samuel’s is a very playable option.
