Deebo Samuel Gains 97 Scrimmage Yards
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel caught five passes for 44 receiving yards and added 53 rushing yards on four carries in the Niners' 27-7 thrashing of the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. On San Francisco's second drive, the 26-year-old juked an edge rusher in the backfield then turned upfield for 51 yards to set up the home team for a field goal to extend their early lead. The Niners never looked back. It was just one play that produced more than half of his yardage, but Samuel is dynamic enough to pull off such plays on a regular basis. The dual threat finished with 97 yards from scrimmage. While he did not score a touchdown, Samuel's guaranteed role in the offense on a weekly basis gives him multiple ways to score fantasy points. He will bring his exciting mode of play to Denver next week on Sunday Night Football.
