Deebo Samuel Expected To Miss Roughly Three Weeks
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (ankle) is expected to miss roughly three weeks of action, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. The 26-year-old suffered an MCL sprain and a sprained ankle during Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This current timetable has Samuel on track to return for the regular season finale in Week 18. That being said, fantasy managers in season-long redraft formats are unlikely to get anything else from Samuel the rest of the way. The absence of Samuel should mean increased roles for Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey. Also, fellow wideouts Jauan Jennings and Ray-Ray McCloud III should have increased receiving responsibilities with Samuel sidelined.
