Deebo Samuel Could Be Starter Right Away
6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who was selected with the No. 36 overall pick of the draft in the second round, could start right away and be paired with Dante Pettis in 2019. Samuel had 62 catches for 882 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2018 and has good strength, speed and run-after-the-catch prowess. Head coach Kyle Shanahan wants to dial back Marquise Goodwin's role to better utilize his unique speed. Shanahan has been very impressed with Samuel, and it appears they plan to throw him right into the fire. It doesn't mean that Samuel will be a stud right off the bat, but he'll have an opportunity to make fantasy noise immediately.
