Decision Looming On If Clayton Kershaw Starts For Dodgers In Giants Series
5 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) could join the big league rotation this week during the Dodgers' four game series against the San Francisco Giants that starts on Monday. Kershaw just completed a rehab start on Friday, allowing three runs in four innings, so if he were to go on five days rest then that would put him in position to start Thursday's game. Currently the Dodgers are slated to start Gavin Stone on Thursday afternoon but that could change with Kershaw's availability. The future hall-of-famer has been out all season recovering from shoulder surgery and will be a very welcome addition to a roster that has incurred many injuries in the 2024 season. Fantasy managers should get ready to get the lefty in their lineups as soon as he is activated, though he will likely be on a pitch count his first few starts. If he doesn't start during the Giants series, his next opportunity would be over the weekend where the Dodgers will travel to Houston and face the Astros.
