Houston Texans wide receiver Deandre Carter caught six passes for 61 yards in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. With wide receivers Demaryius Thomas (Achilles) out for the season and Keke Coutee (hamstring) still a question mark, Carter could be a surprise in Week 17 against the Jaguars as Jacksonville keys in on stopping Houston's top receiver, DeAndre Hopkins. Carter was on the field for 75.4 percent of Houston's offensive snaps, a number that's likely to rise in Week 17. He's a sleeper option in deeper leagues.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller

Chicago Bears wide receiver DeAndre Carter (hamstring) isn't expected to return to Sunday's game versus the 49ers. The wideout isn't a routine option for Caleb Williams. However, his likely absence will be felt on special teams. With wide receiver Tyler Scott inactive, the team may turn to cornerback Josh Blackwell to handle return duties for the remainder of Week 14.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Chicago Bears left guard Teven Jenkins (ribs) and wide receiver DeAndre Carter (ribs) are active for Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers. Both players had been listed as questionable after practicing in a limited capacity on Friday. Jenkins has been an offensive staple for the Bears this season, playing every offensive snap through the first three weeks before an injury took him out of the game early in Week 4. Meanwhile, Carter has been productive this season, too. In addition to catching seven passes for 60 yards, he also has five kick returns (34 yards per return) and nine punt returns (9.4 yards per return). However, he's off the fantasy radar in most leagues.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller

The Chicago Bears are signing wide receiver DeAndre Carter, according to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report. The 2015 undrafted free agent has spent time with nine NFL organizations, including the Bears in 2020. Overall, the 31-year-old has tallied 108 receptions for 1,259 yards and six touchdowns. However, he has returned 132 punts and 118 kickoffs in 94 career games, so that's likely why Chicago was interested in bringing him in. Carter is likely to compete with third-year wideout Velus Jones Jr. for return-man duties, a role that could be more important following the updated kickoff rules in 2024. With DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze on the roster, it'd be a surprise if Carter makes an impact as a receiver.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver DeAndre Carter (knee) is expected to debut with his new squad on Sunday against the Broncos. The journeyman wideout, who signed with Vegas in March, has recently been burdened by a knee issue. But it appears he's good to go for Week 1. Carter is coming off his most productive year, catching 46 passes for 538 yards and three touchdowns in 17 games with the Chargers. However, he won't have Justin Herbert slinging him the ball, so he's hard to take seriously from a fantasy standpoint, even more so with Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, and Hunter Renfrow in the picture.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
