Deandre Ayton Scores 22 Points With Full Line
4 years agoPhoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton took a season-high 17 shots en route to a 22-point night in Friday's 106-97 win over Chicago. Ayton rounded out his productive line with seven rebounds, three blocks, an assist, and a steal in 33 minutes. The 22-year-old came alive defensively in the fourth quarter, where he recorded all three of his rejections, with head coach Monty Williams calling it a sign of growth. Williams might be on to something, as Ayton has averaged 1.8 blocks per game over his last five contests- after averaging just over one block per game for the season. He'll get a favorable matchup on Sunday against Karl-Anthony Towns and the Wolves, who have allowed the second-most FanDuel points to opposing centers.
