Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox scored 27 points on 9-for-21 shooting in Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons. In addition, he grabbed five rebounds and dished out six assists. Fox was 1-for-7 from three and also posted one steal and two blocks. He was 8-for-11 from the charity stripe. He'll face the Hornets on Sunday, who allow opponents to shoot the 11th-highest percentage from three and to score the 11th-most points per game. Sacramento's best player, Fox should be able to put together a strong showing in that one, complete with some better long-range scoring.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, San Antonio Spurs guard De'Aaron Fox (finger) will miss the rest of the 2024-25 campaign. Fox, who was traded from Sacramento ahead of the deadline, has been playing through tendon damage in his left pinkie. However, with the Spurs having virtually no hope of making the Play-In, the move was made for Fox to have surgery. It's unknown when he'll be cleared to return to basketball activities. But Fox, averaging 19.7 points, 6.8 assists, and 1.5 steals in 17 games in San Antonio, will remain a top fantasy option heading into next season, assuming he won't miss time. In the meantime, Stephon Castle should see a surge in production without Fox on the floor.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

San Antonio Spurs guard De'Aaron Fox (finger) may undergo surgery within the next few weeks. The former Sacramento King has been battling a left pinkie injury. Although surgery has always been on the radar, it may come sooner than expected, with Fox planning to visit a specialist in Los Angeles on March 17 when the Spurs visit the Lakers. If a procedure is recommended, it may occur that same day. The Spurs already are without Victor Wembanyama (illness) for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign, and with the team unlikely to secure a Play-In spot, Fox may opt for surgery now and be ready to go come the start of next season. The 27-year-old hasn't been as productive since being traded from Sacramento, averaging 19.1 points, nearly six points fewer than he had with the Kings. But if Fox gets to spend time with his San Antonio teammates this summer, he should bounce back. With that in mind, if Fox sits out the remainder of the year, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, and Stephon Castle will presumably each see a bump in scoring opportunities.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

San Antonio Spurs guard De'Aaron Fox is set to make his team debut against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. Fox was acquired by the Spurs in part of a three-team trade on Monday. The addition of Fox almost certainly means that Chris Paul will move to the bench. It seems likely that the Spurs would want to pair rookie Stephon Castle with Fox in the backcourt. Fox was one of the best point guards in the league while playing in Sacramento. That should continue to be the case in San Antonio, so fantasy managers better make sure to get Fox active in their lineups.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Spurs, Bulls, and Kings completed a three-team deal, resulting in guard De'Aaron Fox (and guard Jordan McLaughlin) heading to San Antonio. Also included in the trade; guard Kevin Huerter, forward/center Zach Collins, and guard Tre Jones will move to Chicago while the Kings will add guard Zach LaVine and guard Sidy Cissoko to the roster. The 2017 No. 5 overall pick has spent his entire career in Sacramento, averaging 21.5 points, 6.1 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 514 regular-season games. Reports regarding Fox's desire to head to the Spurs intensified over the last few weeks. But he'll get his wish and will now be paired with up-and-coming center Victor Wembanyama and future Hall of Fame guard Chris Paul. Fox should continue to get his minutes, and it's likely a change of scenery will give him added motivation to be even more productive moving forward. With that in mind, having Fox on the roster should mean less work for Stephon Castle, although the rookie could benefit in the years ahead now that he's playing alongside and learning from another All-Star.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
