Day'Ron Sharpe Expected To Make Season Debut Next Week
1 month agoBrooklyn Nets center Day'Ron Sharpe (hamstring) is edging close to his season debut. Brooklyn announced on Wednesday that Sharpe has continued full on-court team activity and is expected to return to action next week. Sharpe has missed the first month of the season with a left hamstring strain. His return will give the Nets a much-needed big body under the rim. Nicolas Claxton (back) has been out of the lineup for a couple of games, and Noah Clowney (ankle) has just been ruled out for at least two weeks, so Sharpe should find himself playing a significant role right away. The 23-year-old averaged 6.8 points and 6.4 rebounds in 15.1 minutes a season ago.
