Day'Ron Sharpe Expected To Make Season Debut Next Week
15 seconds agoBrooklyn Nets center Day'Ron Sharpe (hamstring) is edging close to his season debut. Brooklyn announced on Wednesday that Sharpe has continued full on-court team activity and is expected to return to action next week. Sharpe has missed the first month of the season with a left hamstring strain. His return will give the Nets a much-needed big body under the rim. Nicolas Claxton (back) has been out of the lineup for a couple of games, and Noah Clowney (ankle) has just been ruled out for at least two weeks, so Sharpe should find himself playing a significant role right away. The 23-year-old averaged 6.8 points and 6.4 rebounds in 15.1 minutes a season ago.
