Davis Bertans Could Miss Wednesday's Game
4 years agoWashington Wizards forward Davis Bertans (knee, calf) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. He banged up his knee during Monday's game, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the Wizards take the cautious approach here. Troy Brown would gain the most fantasy value, assuming Bertans sits out on Wednesday. He'd be an intriguing streaming appeal if given extended playing time in a favorable matchup versus the Kings.

Knicks Linked With Move For Davis Bertans
9 months agoFree-agent forward Davis Bertans is reportedly generating interest among multiple teams after getting waived by the Charlotte Hornets. According to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto, the New York Knicks are among the teams who are looking at Bertans. The 31-year-old is a sweet-shooting big man who would give an extra threat from deep to the Knicks. However, he will likely not get enough opportunities in New York to jump back into fantasy relevance. Bertans posted 6.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 15.7 minutes across stints with Oklahoma City and Charlotte in 2023-24.

Hornets Waive Davis Bertans
9 months agoThe Hornets released forward Davis Bertans. The 2011 No. 42 overall pick began the 2023-24 campaign with OKC before getting traded to Charlotte. In 28 games with the Hornets, he averaged 8.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, and shot 37.5% from deep. Without question, Bertans has plenty of experience and will add depth to any club around the National Basketball Association, meaning there's a good chance a team will sign him. However, he isn't relevant from a fantasy standpoint, and that's not expected to change anytime soon, even if he lands somewhere for the 2024-25 season.

Davis Bertans Cleared For Action Friday
1 year agoCharlotte Hornets forward/center Davis Bertans (nose) has been upgraded from probable to available for Friday's meeting with Golden State. He will make a 16th consecutive appearance for the struggling Hornets. Bertans had a strong start to the month, but his shot has abandoned him lately, and Bertans likely won't make a big impact off the bench against the Warriors, who typically don't give up a lot of scoring to opposing second units.

Davis Bertans Listed As Probable For Friday
1 year agoCharlotte Hornets forward Davis Bertans (nose) has been tagged as probable for Friday's game against Golden State due to a nose injury. The sharpshooting forward has played in 34 games, averaging 6.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals. He's been playing 13.9 minutes per contest, so it will be fine if he's unable to suit up for the Hornets. Fantasy managers should avoid the 31-year-old across all fantasy formats.
