David Robertson To Be Used In Highest-Leverage Spot
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies manager Gabe Kapler plans to use reliever David Robertson anywhere between the seventh and ninth inning this season depending on how the high-leverage situations play out. Robertson signed a two-year contract this offseason, and this plan was verbalized to the right-hander before he signed the dotted line. He's the most experienced arm in the Phillies pen and has kept left-handers to a .186 career average, so he'll come into the game to neutralize these bats more often. It's not an ideal scenario for fantasy purposes, but Robertson will still accumulate saves and produce stellar ratio numbers. Seranthony Dominguez and Hector Neris figure to get save chances as well in this stocked bullpen.
