David Robertson Gets Six-Out Save
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies reliever David Robertson got the final six outs in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday, closing out his club's 4-1 win over the Mets. The veteran needed 36 pitches to get through the two frames since he allowed a pair of walks and one hit, but he also picked up a pair of strikeouts as well in the outing. With Seranthony Dominguez awaiting imaging results after experiencing sore triceps Saturday morning, Robertson could receive plenty more save opportunities down the stretch run for the contending Phillies. He's already picked up 17 saves between Philadelphia and Chicago, while also sporting a superb 1.86 ERA and 1.01 WHIP through 48 1/3 IP so far this season.
