David Price Won't Opt Out Of Contract
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price said he will not opt out of the final four years and $127 million of his deal. Why would he after just winning the World Series? Price exorcised some of his playoff demons with fantastic outings in the ALCS and World Series en route to a title with Boston. He was solid during the regular season, too, going 16-7 with a 3.58 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 9.1 K/9 over 30 starts in 2018. The 33-year-old isn't getting any younger, but he'll continue to form a formidable one-two punch with fellow southpaw Chris Sale in Boston's rotation next year.
