David Price Scratched From Start Sunday
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher David Price (illness) was scratched from his scheduled start on Sunday, according to Juan Toribio of MLB.com. Price was described as "not feeling well," with manager Dave Roberts saying they hope to have Price throw a simulated game on Monday. It's unclear as of now whether this will be a lingering issue for the 35-year-old left-hander. Price has not looked very sharp this spring despite a 2.70 ERA, having allowed two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four in 6 2/3 innings. After being traded to the Dodgers along with Mookie Betts early last year, Price opted out of playing in 2020 due to the pandemic. Although his ERA was 4.28 in 2019 with Boston, Price managed to post a career-high that year with a 27.9 percent strikeout rate in 107 1/3 innings. While probably a little on the high side, Price is worth looking at as a possible target at his current ADP of 198.
