David Price Could Be Back Soon
5 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price (wrist) threw a bullpen session on Saturday, and the plan is for him to throw again on Tuesday. There's a possibility that the left-hander could return for an eight-game West Coast trip that starts on Friday. The 33-year-old hasn't made a start since Aug. 4 due to a cyst on his left wrist, but the Red Sox desperately need him back with Chris Sale (elbow) done for the rest of the season as the BoSox try to make a run for a wild-card spot. Price is 7-5 on the year with a 4.36 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 126 K's in 105 1/3 innings (21 starts). Keep him stashed and pick him up if he was dropped by his previous owner.
