David Peterson Throws Bullpen Session On Monday
4 years agoNew York Mets left-handed pitcher David Peterson (shoulder) threw a bullpen session on Monday. It is presumed that the bullpen session went well since Peterson is reportedly a potential option to start later in the week as the Mets try to set their starting pitching rotation. Following a series of games postponed due to two positive COVID-19 tests in the organization, the Mets have only set their starters for a Tuesday doubleheader and Wednesday game against Miami. Peterson, on the 10-day injured list due to shoulder inflammation, had an MRI which revealed no structural damage. It appears his stint on the IL will be minimal. Peterson has impressed through his first four big league starts, compiling a 2.91 ERA and 1.15 WHIP to go along with three wins. Depending on the matchup, whether he faces the Marlins or Yankees, Peterson's next start could be a good streaming option in seasonal and DFS formats.
