5 years agoDiamondbacks outfielder David Peralta received an MRI on his shoulder on Thursday after leaving Wednesday's game early according to The Arizona Republic writer Nick Piecoro. Peralta said he felt discomfort in his shoulder on a check swing in his first plate appearance, and that it had been bothering him for roughly a month since returning from the injured list. Piecoro reports that Peralta hinted the injury may be "more serious" than the inflammation diagnosis that landed him on the IL in May. While waiting for further news on Peralta's shoulder, owners should prepare for him to land on the IL again. If Peralta is out for a while, you will likely see increased playing time for Ildemaro Vargas and Tim Locastro.--Michael
