2 months agoDetroit Lions running back David Montgomery had 11 carries for 35 yards and a touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Iowa State product also caught all four of his targets for 35 yards through the air. Even with Montgomery's production being poor and Jahmyr Gibbs getting more looks, the former third-round pick got the lone touchdown of the Detroit backfield. With this being what fantasy managers drafted him for, they should have nothing to worry about after a good week from Montgomery. He also had more receptions Sunday than in any game during the 2023 season. Montgomery will look to build on Sunday's performance and is a mid-range RB2 against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3.--Jacob Billingslea
