David Dahl Signs Minor-League Deal With Phillies
12 months agoFree-agent outfielder David Dahl agreed to a minor-league deal with the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday, pending a physical. Dahl played in only four games at the major-league level in 2023 with the San Diego Padres before inking a minors pact with the Los Angeles Dodgers in June. The 29-year-old former first-round pick played in 54 games with Triple-A Oklahoma City and slashed .282/.354/.493 with an .847 OPS, eight home runs, 39 RBI and 33 runs scored over 237 plate appearances. Dahl was an All-Star with the Colorado Rockies in 2019 when he hit .302 with 15 home runs, but he only played in 100 games that season and couldn't capitalize on his talent due to injuries. In six major-league seasons, Dahl has only played in 331 games.
