David Dahl Raises Spring Average To .350
4 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder David Dahl continued his hot hitting on Wednesday with a single in two at-bats. Once considered a top prospect with the Colorado Rockies, Dahl fell on hard times due to injuries and signed a one-year deal with the Rangers in the offseason in an effort to rebuild his value. Still just 26, Dahl is now 7-for-20 (.350) with two doubles this spring. He hit just .183 in 24 MLB games last year and underwent shoulder surgery in the offseason. He's reportedly been using Virtual Reality to improve his timing at the plate. If Dahl stays healthy, he should play almost every day in either left field or center field.
