David Bote Injures His Shoulder On Thursday
3 years agoChicago Cubs second baseman David Bote (shoulder) was removed from Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates due to a left shoulder injury. Trent Giambrone came into the game to replace him in the seventh inning. Bote is scheduled to undergo tests on Friday. The 28-year-old hasn't been very effective offensively this year, slashing just .199/.276/.330 with eight home runs, 35 RBI and 32 runs over 97 games. Giambrone could see an increase in playing time if Bote misses any action this weekend.
