David Bednar Notches 22nd Save Of Season Tuesday
1 year agoPittsburgh Pirates closer David Bednar picked up his 22nd save of the season in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Tigers. The 28-year-old came in to pitch the top of the ninth inning up by three and delivered a 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts. While the Pirates have fallen considerably in performance, Bednar should still remain a higher-end fantasy option given his role security and strong performance. He has now converted all but one save opportunity with a 1.24 ERA and an 11.54 K/9 rate.
