Davante Adams Minimally Involved In Win
1 year agoLas Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams had two receptions for 29 yards on five targets in the Week 6 win against the New England Patriots. Adams has six receptions and 74 yards on nine targets over the past two weeks combined. It is unclear if the shoulder injury is still a factor, but the Raiders have not gotten their All-Pro wide receiver involved in two straight games. Adams has now had two games in a row with a target share under 20%. Adams will have another week to recover before facing the Chicago Bears in Week 7. The Bears are one of the most favorable matchups for wide receivers, so Adams has the opportunity to bounce back in a big way. With Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo dealing with a back injury, who will be throwing to Adams in Week 7 remains to be seen. If the Raiders turn to rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell again, Adams could be in for a big performance. When O'Connell started in Week 4, Adams caught eight passes for 75 yards on 13 targets. The target volume climbing back up to the double digits would be ideal for Adams. Fantasy managers have been disappointed with the production the past two weeks, but Adams is still one of the best wide receivers in football and deserves to be started as a WR1 every week.
