Davante Adams Looking Forward To Playing In Slot
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams is looking forward to being utilized out of the slot under new head coach Matt LaFleur. At 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, Adams is bigger than the average slot receiver in the NFL. “I think that’s something that Matt is definitely looking forward to having me do, and I’m definitely looking forward to doing the same thing,” said Adams. LaFleur may have to use a combination of Adams, Jake Kumerow, Geronimo Allison and Jimmy Graham in the slot now that Randall Cobb has moved on. It remains to be seen how much the Packers use Adams out of the slot. Regardless, Adams is a top-tier WR1 after breaking out for 13 touchdowns and his first 1,000-yard season in 2018. He has double-digit touchdowns each of the last three seasons.
