Daulton Varsho Slugs First Homer Of 2021
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Daulton Varsho launched his first home run of the season on Sunday, finishing 1-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored in a 7-4 loss to the Dodgers. It's hard to do worse than his 2020 line of .188/.287/.366, and yet Varsho has managed to drop even lower this year as he's now slashing .143/.250/.214 with one homer, one steal, seven RBI and nine runs scored over 35 games. He's shown double-digit home run and steal potential in the minors, but that has yet to translate to the majors. Until he turns things around significantly, he shouldn't be rostered in anything outside of deep dynasty leagues.
