Daulton Varsho Optioned To Triple-A Wednesday
4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks catcher/outfielder Daulton Varsho was optioned to Triple-A on Wednesday, according to Zach Buchanan of The Athletic. After struggling in his rookie campaign last year with a .188 average and .653 OPS in 37 games, Varsho looked worse in Spring Training with a .136 average and .469 OPS in 17 games. He managed to have over twice as many strikeouts (13) as he had hits (6) this spring. Varsho has shown potential in the minors to be at least a 15-homer, 15-steal threat, but that has yet to translate into results in the majors. In redraft leagues, managers can safely ignore Varsho for now.
