6 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles could end up playing a significant role on offense in 2018. Originally expected to contribute mostly on special teams, Sproles is now rumored to be taking on a more fleshed out role on offense as well. With the Eagles reportedly considering limiting starting running back Jay Ajayi's carries in order to keep him safe and fresh for the end of the season and playoffs, the veteran Sproles may end up taking carries and catching passes out of the backfield.
