Darrel Williams Trending Towards Playing Week 1
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Darrel Williams (head) will likely be available to play Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle) will likely play as well, meaning Williams will be the backup. Nevertheless, Williams performed well against the Browns during the playoffs last season. Williams had 13 carries, four receptions, and a total of 94 yards. He won't see that same workload for Week 1; however, in deeper leagues, Williams could be considered a FLEX option in a matchup that could be high scoring. DFS contestants should avoid adding Williams to their Week 1 lineup due to his uncertain workload. With the addition of Jerick McKinnon, Williams could split his workload with McKinnon on a weekly basis.
