Darrell Henderson Jr. Trending Towards Playing In Week 1
4 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. (hamstring) suffered a hamstring strain in the team's first scrimmage about two weeks ago and is still recovering. However, head coach Sean McVay recently stated that he was “optimistic” Henderson would be able to play in the team's Week 1 game against the Dallas Cowboys. Henderson is expected to split carries with rookie Cam Akers and veteran Malcolm Brown to start the year. Last year, Henderson played second fiddle to Todd Gurley and rushed the ball 39 times for 147 yards, good for 3.8 yards per carry. He's a decent late-round flyer in deep leagues given the fact that he figures to get steady touches in a potent offense, but if Akers comes out of the gate strong, Henderson, might be relegated to No. 2 status yet again this year.
