Darius Slayton Leads Giants With 66 Receiving Yards In Week 8
2 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton caught five of his six targets for a team-high 66 yards in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The former fifth-round pick has seen an inconsistent role this season, but it appears he's emerging as a go-to option for Daniel Jones. Slayton has now recorded 50-plus receiving yards in back-to-back games and in three games this season. The 25-year-old wideout is still tough to trust moving forward given the lack of passing attempts the Giants are asking Jones to make every week. There's a chance the Giants make a move for a wide receiver at the trade deadline, so it remains to be seen what Slayton's role is moving forward.
