Darius Slayton Explodes Versus Jets
5 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton erupted for 121 yards and two touchdowns on 10 catches in Sunday's loss to the Jets. With Evan Engram (foot) and Sterling Shepard (concussion) sidelined, the rookie took advantage and led the charge for the Giants. Slayton has been winning on the deep ball this year, but he made solid catches over the middle and on intermediate routes as well, hinting at his potential as he grows comfortable with the NFL game. Obviously, expectations should be tempered a bit. The Jets secondary is not formidable and the Giants receivers figure to be healthy coming out of the bye week, which will cut into Slayton's opportunities. Buy him in dynasty leagues and feel free to stash him in 12-team leagues or larger, but I would recommend trying to sell high in those redraft formats.
