Darius Garland Unable To Practice Friday
2 years agoCleveland Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland (thumb) was kept from the practice floor Friday due to a right thumb injury that he sustained Thursday against Indiana. With the Cavs set to take on the Bulls on Saturday, Garland's status is up in the air. The 22-year-old has made a case for a second consecutive All-Star appearance this year, even as Donovan Mitchell joined the backcourt. Shooting a career-high 40 percent from long range, Garland is one of just 34 qualified players at that mark around the league. An absence Saturday would elevate Mitchell's DFS appeal, along with that of Caris LeVert, who would stand to see more usage. Fantasy managers will want to check back Saturday for further updates.
