Darius Garland Explodes For Career-High 37 Points
4 years agoCleveland Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland had the night of his life on Monday, leading the team to a 125-101 victory over San Antonio with a career-high 37 points on 14-for-22 shooting. He was 5-for-10 from downtown and 4-for-4 at the foul line, adding seven assists, two steals, one rebound and one block to his line. The Spurs have been crushed by point guards all year, and Garland's previous career high (29 points) also came against them. Meeting with OKC on Thursday looks like a much more difficult spot for him, but the Thunder have started a rebuilding process and aren't very competitive anymore. Garland had a very solid 21-point, eight-assist game in the matchup earlier in the season.
