3 years agoColorado Avalanche goaltender Darcy Kuemper will take on the Chicago Blackhawks in the season opener on Wednesday. The former Coyote will make his team debut, hoping to get the same support Philipp Grubauer got from the team during his excellent spell in the Avalanche crease. Kuemper won only 10 of 27 outings last season, but he registered a nice 2.56 goals-against average with a .907 save percentage and two shutouts. He will find his way into the win column much regularly in Colorado and should have a busy start to the season with Pavel Francouz (ankle) on the shelf for a few weeks.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
