10 months agoGoaltender Darcy Kuemper was dealt by the Washington Capitals to the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday. He was sent to L.A. in exchange for forward Pierre-Luc Dubois. Kuemper was ditched by the Capitals just two seasons after he was signed to a five-year, $26.25 million contract as a free agent. The 34-year-old, who helped the Colorado Avalanche win the Stanley Cup in 2022, had a decent debut campaign in Washington but suffered from a lack of form in 2023-24. Kuemper finished the season as a backup to Charlie Lindgren, posting a 13-14-3 record with a 3.31 goals-against average and a .890 save percentage. In Los Angeles, Kuemper faces a battle for playing time with David Rittich.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
