Danton Heinen Returning To Pittsburgh
24 mins agoAccording to Frank Seravalli of DailyFaceoff.com, the Pittsburgh Penguins are acquiring Danton Heinen, Melvin Fernstrom, Vinny Desharnais, and a conditional first-round selection in the 2025 NHL Draft from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Marcus Pettersson and Drew O'Connor. Heinen spent time in Pittsburgh during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Across 141 games, the left wing tallied 26 goals and 29 helpers with a +1 rating. Across 51 games with Vancouver this season, the 29-year-old found the back of the net six times and added 19 helpers. Fantasy managers should expect Heinen to have a role in the bottom six. Desharnais will likely slot in as a depth defenseman, while Fernstrom will join a Pittsburgh prospect pool that has continued to improve under Kyle Dubas' tenure.
