1 year agoChicago Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson (heel) will be out of Thursday's lineup after he suffered a left-heel contusion on Wednesday and left the contest prematurely, according to Jordan Bastian of MLB.com. The club will reevaluate the 29-year-old before Thursday's game to check his availability, but he might need to sit out for the rest of the first half. Swanon's been a decent provider with the bat across 83 games this season, slashing .258/.343/.409 with 10 home runs, 41 runs, 36 RBI, and four stolen bases. Fantasy managers can expect Patrick Wisdom to get more playing time until the former Atlanta Brave returns. The slugger is batting just .193 but has gone deep 14 times across 58 games.--Spencer Seguin
