Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson has not gotten off to the start that fantasy managers had hoped for. The 28-year-old is slashing .143/.217/.238 with no home runs, two RBI, no stolen bases, and a 43.5% strikeout rate. He does have a .273 BABIP, which suggests some bad batted-ball luck to this point, but he has provided almost no fantasy value so far. Fantasy managers should be patient with Swanson, but they may want to keep him on their benches until he can heat up a little. The Braves will finish up a tough series at the Dodgers on Wednesday, but Swanson should have better opportunities to hit in their next series against the Marlins, Cubs, and Rangers.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller

Chicago Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson had a productive game in a 9-2 win over the San Francisco Giants on Monday. Swanson went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs, and two RBI to help lift the Cubs to the win. The veteran shortstop got off to a slow start in 2025 but has come on strong of late, hitting .462 with three homers and five RBI over his past seven contests. Overall, he's hitting .232 with seven doubles, seven homers, 25 runs, 20 RBI, and four steals across 142 at-bats this season.--Matt T - RotoBaller

Chicago Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson went 2-for-4 with a home run and a single in Thursday's 8-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Georgia native connected on his sixth long ball of the season off of Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes to give the Cubbies their first run of the game -- sparking their eventual comeback. That marks back-to-back multi-hit efforts for Swanson with two homers in his last three outings. He's been a bit spotty this season, as he's registered eight multi-hit games thus far, but also 13 contests with none. The 31-year-old's strikeout percentage (28.3%) is up a few ticks and currently a career high. However, he's garnering a hard-hit ball more often (48.9%) and holds a .253 xBA, which is quite a bit off his .213 average (27-for-127).--Alex Ciulla

Chicago Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson has been dropped to eighth in the batting order for Tuesday's contest against the Pittsburgh Pirates and left-hander Andrew Heaney at PNC Park. Swanson had been batting fifth all year for the Cubbies, but he'll drop a couple spots this week while hitting just .181 (21-for-116) in his first 29 games played in 2025. It's more reason to stay away from the scuffling 31-year-old veteran in fantasy for the time being. In the last two weeks, Swanson has gone 8-for-42 (.191) with no homers, three RBI, two steals, two walks and 20 strikeouts. Catcher Carson Kelly will move up the lineup on Tuesday and will bat out of the cleanup spot for Chicago. For what it's worth, Swanson does have a hit and two RBI in his two career at-bats against Heaney and has hit .278 (5-for-18) with two of his four homers against lefties this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Chicago Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson turned in a big game in a 10-6 win over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. Swanson went 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs, four RBI, and a stolen base to help lead Chicago to the win. The veteran infielder ripped a solo homer, his fourth of the season, off Texas starter Patrick Corbin to cut the Rangers' lead to 2-1 in the second inning. Swanson is showing nice power early in the season but he has just 12 hits in 53 at-bats to go along with two steals, nine runs, and 11 RBI. That being said, he is worth keeping active in fantasy lineups moving forward.--Matt T - RotoBaller
