Danny Santana Exits Wednesday’s Game Early
3 years agoBoston Red Sox infielder Danny Santana (groin) was removed from Wednesday's game with left groin tightness. He fell hard while diving for a ball in left field. The 30-year-old went 0-for-4 before exiting. Santana was activated from the 10-day injured list on Monday after dealing with a left quad strain. The severity of his groin injury is unknown at this time and the utility infielder is currently day-to-day. He is slashing .171/.230/.324 with four homers, 13 RBI, 11 runs scored, and three stolen bases across 33 games in 2021. Santana sees semi-regular at-bats but is only worth rostering in AL-only leagues after posting an abysmal .252 WOBA and a 53 WRC+ this season.
