1 year agoToronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen (hand) remains out of the team's starting lineup on Saturday against the visiting Chicago Cubs. Alejandro Kirk will make another start behind the plate and will hit sixth in the batting order against Cubs left-hander Justin Steele. Jansen was hit by a pitch on his hand on Thursday in a contest against the Cleveland Guardians, and he'll be sitting out his second straight game. The good news is the 28-year-old backstop is day-to-day after X-rays came back negative. Hopefully Jansen will be able to return on Sunday. Jansen has already matched his career-high of 15 home runs from a season ago and has driven in a career-high 49 runs, but he's batting only .218 (52-for-239).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
