4 years agoToronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen (knee) is back in Wednesday's lineup after leaving Monday's game early due to injury. The 25-year-old catcher took a ball off the knee while catching and had to leave late in the contest. He then had Tuesday off while rookie catcher Alejandro Kirk caught. Jansen is hitting just .125 through three games but he's known for his defensive contributions. Texas baserunners stole three bases on Tuesday so Toronto is likely hoping the regular catcher can help keep the runners honest. However, he's allowed two stolen bases so far this season without catching a runner. He threw out 23% of baserunners in 2020.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
