1 year agoToronto Blue Jays backstop Danny Jansen (groin) has ramped up his baseball activities lately and will likely join Triple-A Buffalo on Friday to begin a rehab assignment, according to MLB.com. If everything goes well, the 28-year-old could rejoin the Blue Jays on June 13 for their series against the Baltimore Orioles. Jansen's been on the injured list since May 26 after straining his left groin during a game on May 24. Before that, the former prospect was hitting just .207 with six bombs, 16 runs, and 26 RBI over 36 games. Jansen's value is limited in roto leagues due to his career .221 batting average, but he's a solid bat in points formats, thanks to a .477 slugging percentage since 2021.--Spencer Seguin
