Daniel Suarez Drives Smart Race, Nabs Top-5 Finish At Bristol
4 years agoDaniel Suarez was not expected to contend for a win but found a way to get up to the front on Monday. He led a total of 58 laps before getting passed by Joey Logano with about 60 laps to go. Suarez was able to keep pace enough to hold off Ryan Newman for fourth place at the Food City Dirt Race. He finished 1.62 seconds behind Logano at the end of the race. The No, 99 Chevy may not have had the best car over the final laps but Suarez's keen driving skill kept him in the top-five.
