Daniel Robertson Probably Out For Season
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays infielder Daniel Robertson (thumb) is expected to have surgery this week, which will likely end his season. The surgery is to fix the injury to his left thumb in hopes that it will not affect future seasons. Robertson was mostly useful for his position versatility in AL-only leagues. He was hitting .262 with nine home runs and 34 RBI on the season. He should be dropped in seasonal leagues. In longer-term formats, he should only be considered in very deep formats. The main beneficiaries of his absence are likely to be Brandon Lowe and, once he returns, Christian Arroyo.
