Daniel Ponce de Leon Gets Shelled On Sunday
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Daniel Ponce de Leon struggled in a very short Sunday start against the Milwaukee Brewers. Ponce de Leon pitched just 1 1/3 innings, allowing seven runs on six hits and four walks. Of his 52 pitches, only 29 were strikes, as Ponce de Leon was just all over the place in this one. He was coming off an excellent start against the Marlins, but he just couldn't throw strikes in this one. He'll hope for a better result in his next start, which should come against the Phillies.
