Daniel Ponce de Leon Exits Tuesday’s Game Early
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Daniel Ponce de Leon was removed from Tuesday's game against the Tigers with shoulder discomfort. He allowed one run on one hit across 1/3 of an inning before exiting. The severity of his injury is unknown at this time and the 29-year-old is considered day-to-day. Ponce de Leon has struggled this season, owning a 7.03 ERA, 1.64 WHIP, and 17 strikeouts across 24 1/3 innings. The Cardinals right-hander missed three weeks in May with a shoulder issue. Fantasy managers can move on from Ponce de Leon if they haven't already.
